I love everything they've done, althought their first album is a bit lacking in self-awareness. I do hope however that A Moon Shaped Pool, which felt a bit uninspired compared to, well, everything they did since '97, proves to be their final album. I hate to say it but for the past ten years or so I keep waiting for all my favourite bands and artists to break up/retire/die.

i agree. i hold an unpopular opinion here but i believe there only good albums are pablo honey, the bends, ok computer, kid a, and in rainbows. not a big fan of anything else by them really. amnesiac was meh, hail to the thief was bad, and i haven't even listened to a moon shaped pool yet.

I do really love most of what they've done and only consider their first and last (so far and here hoping) to be pretty weak. First one can be excused, though. Last one was a bit insulting, especially after a six-year wait. Anyway I couldn't keep myself from ranking the studio albums, so I did. Here.

also:

Considering you thought Amnesiac was meh and HTTT was outright bad, you're not going to like it (althought to be fair it has some vague In Rainbows moments).

burn the witch was kind of a banger ngl

seriously what the fuck was york and the gang doing for that long

Funny you'd single that song out, since it's a leftover from the HTTT days that they never got around to record. Much like True Love Waits, which FINALLY got a studio version but ended up being really underwhelming.
>what the fuck was york and the gang doing
solo stuff (I really liked Yorke's Tomorrow's Modern Boxes, it's got that frantic but weightless, heavily textured quality that I love about TKOL), and also Atoms For Peace, which was fecking great

Careful what you type; there's actually a kind of (ambient-oriented) Burzum parody called Buzzum.
