I'm alternating between russian classics from the 19th/20th century, celtic material, some of it BC, and the works of norwegian novelist Knut Hamsun to celebrate the colder weather, but I fear it's too much and it will outlast the cold seasons. Oh well.

"One night as I lay in my bed" sings
The Chinese chatter is chipping away
The whitelit clouds assemble
A small angel of God displays this:
Shiningblack beetlewings polished is he
Deepsheened tortoiseshell Majesty
Almost as furclad in his peackock feathers he
Burnished dark rosewood embodied with motherpearl
Some of the armour of the Rainbow Messiah
Brightfire of morning lightbearing fallen
Falsifier telescope viewed topsy-turvy
Motherliquor lifе's flicker soullicker
He comеs and he goes
There where he wants in the Shinig of your mind

Greenscaled flybacked carapace she
Dark stars imploding and shuddering she
In the menstrual night she
She opens and she closes she
In her the flowers are all one she
Stamen lip and hovering she
Beauty alone and unmirrored she
Blackhaired and blackeyed door she
Hart so lovely dewed labial she
Pearldrop and dewdrop
Soft pillow of seaspray
And dark smokevoice of evening

Wallbuilt and pinnacled gorgon is he
Snakelike and sulphurous serpentine emperor
Brasslimbed and trumpeting dischordance he
Bonevoices and bonethroated sepulchral decadence

Crackedsun boneset anklet of jadegreen
Sugarcane pomegranate bloodeyed and seawide
Larkthroated birdwinging cloudstormy golden
Lucifer Lucifera Luciferens
Stoneheart and coldskin and icerendered member
Grapecluster darkthruster coalblackened smithy

Not saviour nor Silence nor Anything at all
Goldplated illusion and fool's gold in heaven
Goodbye
I say goodbye...

Lucifer has two faces: male and female. Lucifer's beautiful eyes are two dark depths. In one is the seadeep profundity. You may stare into this bluedark body for ever. On his surface, the waves come and go. The other. Clouds breathe across her body. She is the night.

They both lie.

>The Second Sonata, roughly a half hour in duration, frequently features complex, dense three- and four-part counterpoint.] It is extremely demanding of the performer (pianist Yvonne Loriod "is said to have burst into tears when faced with the prospect" of performing it) and much of the piece is characterized by aggressive, violent, highly energetic writing that some writers have seen as a reflection of the composer's desire for a music that "should be collective hysteria and spells, violently of the present time"

I'm having a bummer of a night/day/week/month. At least it's a change of pace from all of everything else that's not left me alone for a minute and has been front and centre in my mind over the past two years now. I must find a miserable job to keep this status going. Who knows, maybe being too miserable to think about how ill I am is the only cure for the latter. I can deal with sadness (I used to be something of an expert), but this other "thing" is getting to be too much.

I really dislike hip-hop, or rather rap, but sometimes the underlying music is good enough to tolerate it. Barely, but just enough.

Anyway, this album's pretty cringey but at least it has 1) This hilarious cover art+name combo 2)This utterly wonderful, slightly ahead of the game, early breakbeat hardcore/rave track

It's pretty funny, I fucking hate Merzbow in general, as a person and as an art project; I find it pretentious and lazy and it gets worse each year, but there was a sweet spot between '94 and '98 where it really seemed like the man could do no wrong.

Maybe I'm alone in this since I've always had a negative reaction to nostalgia and retro shit in general, but isn't it about time the internet at large and creators of cultural products are done and over with the whole fucking vhs-core win-95 cant-tell-if-im-trying-to-be-the-'80s-or-the-'00s """lo-fi""" wank? It's gone overboard now, it doesn't even make chronological sense. Make something new, or kill yourselves already. Anyway, today marks the one-month anniversary of my mother's emancipation from the heavy chains of this world of shadows and nightmares. Here's hoping I'll be following soon. Have a music:

Started having an intense panic attack half a block away from this house as I was going to the supermarket. I had to turn back around it got so intense. That was two and a half hours ago, and I'm only now barely able to sit down and write a few lines.

Kids, I'm not going to tell you not to do drugs, illegal or otherwise, but if you are going to, make sure you approach it as a life commitment. Either you'll keep it under control and lead a happy life, or not, and have a happy death. I cannot recommend the experience of getting clean to anyone. If I could press a button that would instantly erase me from existence before I could even register the fact that I've made contact with a button I'd be bellydiving into it right now. I'm tired and want nothing more.

I had a long, loooong dream where I had to kill a large number of people armed only with a (very sharp, mind) steak knife. It was very tiresome and strangely there was no hate in it. In that spirit, have some sludgy stonery post-hardcorey somethingorother from the lands stolen to the sea. Fitting band name, album name, and album cover.

I just got sad remembering all my shit that got thrown away when my brother and mother moved out of the house we had been living in since 2006. I used to collect all sort of stuff, from marbles to keychains, old keys, branded coasters, limited edition cigarette boxes, random bits of jewelry I'd find on the street, novelty pens and lighters; just a real magpie of a time I had over many many years. All of that gone, thrown into the trash. Dang. I could really use some marbles right now, if only to roll them in my hand to relieve some stress.

So after sleeping two hours I was awoken by the need to take a piss. That's fine. I went and did my business and as I was drying my hands ready to leave I very suddenly had what I can only describe as a hypotension-caused faint. It's the third time this happens since December. Why hasn't the idea that music, literature-- art a large, can change the world at a moral, ethical, sociopolitical level not been put two metres underground already when we have centuries' worth of evidence to the contrary? Whatever did early Surrealism's staunch adherence to communism achieve, other than giving people for generations the pretentious-high-horse bonerfest of a lifetime? Just an example.
The world, history at large, is made (and changed) only through violence.

>>681
This could be an inordinate number of things. Let's try this first (I remember linking this very song to you once when you were looking for similar stuff):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lS3xmhxhKS8
Also, remember: Heavy and fast (more commonly "extreme") are mutually exclusive. Black Sabbath, Candlemass, Godflesh, early Cathedral and Paradise lost etcetcetc are heavy. Sodom, Kreator, Sarcófago, Napalm Death, Immortal, Cryptopsy etc etc etc are extreme.

Yep, it's video junkie, it can be said however. I've said it all three ways. I'm sorry to hear your mom's passed. I'm doing ok. On less medication, I quit smoking and changed my diet. I'm learning more about my loved ones and trying to get along with them when I see them. I'll try my best to keep any weird behavior in check, and write things in less posts.

I don't know the exact term for the genre but in the song I was talking about there might have been a purple background I think. It had a nice easy light and airy tempo and lyrics in one section and went back and forth between that and kind of a dance section that was harder and more quick.

For the metal that's awesome. I love more instrumental stuff. I don't know if you know any albums. I find it difficult picking up different terminology related to music. I wonder if you could think of anything that's more dynamic with instrumental range in what notes the instruments play than the one you just shared. I appreciate your time and help
Replies: >>685

>I love more instrumental stuff [...] if you could think of anything that's more dynamic with instrumental range in what notes the instruments play
So, something a bit more progressive/technical? And also instrumenta, huh, that's a tough one. Let's see:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMCvwE-jmz4
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEc9PDtQ1u4
Proggy tech-y jazzy death, not the most extreme, but it's hard to find tech stuff with no vocals

As for the electronic track it's got me stumped. I'll address that one later when I have time to rummage through albums.

I've been on the receiving end of a barrage of short, bizarre dreams lately. One that stood out this morning was me grabing a bunch of very weirdly shaped bananas (short, round, some of them fused together, some green and some overripe even though they were still together in the same bunch, etc), taking one out, partially peeling it and biting down, only to find that the consistence and texture was similar to that of an open mandarin carpel, and the taste similar to a mix of grass, spit, and cold soup scum. I haven't been sleeping well for quite a few days now

Add "while hanging upside down from the mast of a boat lost in a storm" and that's how I've been feeling every day between 8:00 and 15:00

Why do I keep having just the absolute worst nights/mornings? I slept a total of six hours grouped in three two-hour bouts separated by two three-hour bouts of nausea and sadness

also merry third month anniversary to the ashes in the black box on top of the bookshelf; I do terribly miss what you used to be

Ah shit, I just found out Aston Barrett died two months ago. God b'wi'ye you funky bastard. Reggae, Roots Reggae, Dub, even Post-Punk and a number of electronic music subgenres wouldn't be what they were without you.

I bought myself a tulip-style glass pint like the ones I used to have. Not as fancy, though: The ones I had were stolen from a proper bar, while the one I got I bought cheap from a supermarket. You can see the unevenness of it and the bubbles inside the glass, all products of shit manufacture and low quality control. Still, the fact that having a pint again is one of the highlights of the past three years are witness to what a shit of a time I'm having.

I didn't know he made an album.

Then, in the comments:

I've been having sharp stomach pains that come and go throughout the last two days. Needless to say it's been quite an obstacle when trying to fall asleep. I wonder how long I have on this earth. I hope at least long enough to finish reading the books I have, though I feel that would take me some ten years at least. On an unrelated note, I feel we're slowly phasing out of massive LARPing on /pol/s across the internet. They're either getting bored, too frustrated, or are moving on to some other form of indoctrinated robotic pointless overcompensating tiny-dick-energy fear-fuelled activities. Time shall tell. Have a music.

On the sea coast of Tibet,
Egyptian Aztecs are arriving from Norway
They've been varnishing the woodwork for forty-three centuries
Here, Nature is naked, her acrobats bathed in blood
There's a beast of prey on the threshold of pleasure
And the giantess, sea priestess, beckons the passers-by

"Do not lose sight of the sea.

Do not lose sight to the sea."
