I'm stomped I haven't seen any threads about it so I decided to make my own.
So when the countdown stopped nothing happened, so I emailed the email back with my keys and I got the strangest puzzle??

"The Cipher That Shall Unveil the Future Quest"

A solution to the yearning heart's plea,
I reveal what was obscured in secrecy,
A universe beyond the mundane's boundaries.

With intuition that penetrates the guise,
I am the scribe of a life in disguise,
A saga of love, loss, and integrity.

In the annals of "Jane Eyre" I reside,
The tale of a governess and her dignified stride,
In the lessons of "The Professor" I reside.

Within the chaos of adolescence I reside,
In the pages of "The Catcher in the Rye" I reside,
The reflections of a troubled mind.

From the depths of Eastern Europe I emerge,
In "A Time of Gifts" I emerge,
A journey of wonders, fears, and urge.

Decode the enigma that I keep,
And embark on a journey, a leap into the deep,
To solve the cipher that I seep."

All of those books are presumably autobiographical, two of them are bildungsroman, two of them involve Holland to some capacity, and they're all in first person. They all are memoirs of a kind. That's all I can think of right now. They're about someone going on a journey (literal or just pesonal) and growing/maturing/becoming wiser. I dunno.
Replies: >>5573

Presumably send you keys back to the email? That sounds like what OP was talking about

Yeah I'm beat here? Decode what?
This shit is way harder than the first two

It's a bit too vague for my tastes
So this isn't the puzzle? This just unlocks the puzzle?
is the answer "Angst" because if so I'mma be livid
Decode was put in there for a reason. Maybe it deals with numbers instead of the books themselves?

>It references 4 books

>It tells us its a cipher
>Says nothing about what we should be looking for in the books like last time.

Its certainly in this message there's no doubt about it

Look, the guy's no poet. Numbers will vary with editions; nothing in the books themselves present something that could be interpreted in a kabbalistic manner (I haven't read Catcher In The Rye, though, but I doubt it's the exception). As far as I can see the one thing that unifies all four books is that they're either partially or completely autobiographical, are written in first-person, and deal with growth and self-affirmation in the face of difficulties external and internal

These books are definitely distractions I wouldn't be too concerned with the books. Its clearly already in the message this crafty son of bitch is tricky like that.
Replies: >>5583
>>5579
Why bother with hinting at the books' themes, then? "the lessons of 'The Professor'", "chaos of adolescence", "wonders, fears, and urge", etc

The enigma invites you to embark on a journey, and all four books are somewhat about a journey, except only the last one is a literal journey.

I'm trying my best, which is more than you've done, so please lubricate that catty attitude and shove it up your urethra.

Like I said, all books are to a lesser or greater extent about the author's real life experiences, and about building character. You can extrapolate a lot of things from here, but since I am not entirely clear about what the guy is even asking of us (though I'm assuming a one-word answer like the past few times), there's only so much I can do

>Grouping them in pairs of two there are 4 passages
Meaning there should be 4 other codes then there's no way this is a coincidence

Three of the strophes are free of literary references, and even though there are four books there are only three authors. Each strophe has three lines. That's three threes. Do with that info whatever you can

I'm not in it for the money. I just like books. I'm trying to help y'all so excuse my disliking this uppity attitude towards my contributions. It makes no sense that the books and themes mentioned are unrelated. "Cipher" is probably more of a red herring since, while its strict meaning is related to numbers, it can be used to refer to any hidden key or sign or word. That's why I was focusing on what ties these books together, trying to consense it into one word, like Growth, Bildungsroman, Overcoming, or whatever.

What are those numbers? Also for what it's worth I always remember that 144 is 12^2. 12 is 3x4, two numbers which have been mentioned already. I'm pretty sure we're overthinking it, though.
>>5590
I get what you're saying, but there's really nothing for us to go off? And it literally said Cipher. We got to try all options and I like your suggests don't lump me in with everyone else

Like I said earlier, the guy's not exactly a poet. He was probably looking for another word for "code"

FUCKING LET'S GO
So it was just word count, huh. Fucking literary references reeled me in when the guy could've written anything as long as it was 144 words. On that note, it never mattered whether they were organised in groups of 3 or 4 or whatever: The word count is the same in the end.

Whelp.
