you know, come to think of it, I've never seen a post-tadpole, pre-frog-proper (whatever you wish to call that stage) except on shitty FX. It's always basically green spermatozoid -> ribbit fraug, no inbetween. Once I saw a puddle full of tadpoles and some of them had teenytiny li'l hind legs but that's about it.
